African spinach and artichoke dip
12 oz. of Sour Cream
1 ½ cups fresh or frozen Spinach.
1 Can or 10 oz Jar of Artichokes drained
1 tbs of fresh Basil finely chopped
1½ -2 cups mixed shredded cheeses of your choice
2 cloves of garlic minced
4 tbs of Afro Fusion Brands Harissa with Mint or Afro Fusion Cuisine Mango Chutney
1 tbs of butter or extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp of Afro Fusion Cuisine all purpose seasoning
1. In a medium saucepan, gently sauté the spinach (if you are using frozen it does not need to be thawed ) in butter with a few finely diced garlic cloves,and Afro Fusion cuisine Harissa or Chutney
2.Add fresh basil, Afro Fusion Cuisine all purpose seasoning. Then add the sour cream.3. Finely chop the canned artichokes (discard the liquid from the can) and add them and then the grated cheeses to the mixture. Mix thoroughly.
4. Place everything in a shallow round Pyrex dish, sprinkle some of the cheese on top and bake for about 10-15 minutes at 350 until the top is golden brown remove from the oven.Serve dip surrounded by veggies, pita chips or healthy breads. Or remove the center of a large round of white bread and fill it with the dip and serve it with the torn out bits of bread all around it.
